Hexham and Tynedale Restaurant Week

We're taking part. A special set price menu, available for one week only, from 5th to 11th October.

Restaurant Week is a region-wide celebration of the dining scene across Hexham and Tynedale, with over 25 restaurants taking part across the area. For one week, participating restaurants offer fixed-price menus to give both locals and visitors the chance to try something new or revisit somewhere they already love.

We’re taking part this year with a dedicated set price menu written specifically for the week. Two courses for £25, three for £30. The kitchen has put together a menu that showcases what the valley does best, at a price point that makes it easy to come in on a Tuesday as well as a Saturday. The Restaurant Week menu runs alongside the regular bar food throughout the week.

Pub quiz

Teams of up to six. £2 per person. No particular expertise required, only a willingness to be very wrong about at least one answer. This is what Monday evenings in a village pub are for.

Terrace BBQ

  • Every other Monday, 7.30pm (updates sent out by email). Teams of up to six, two pounds a head. Gary writes the questions. No booking, no phones, new teams welcome. It's what Monday evenings in a village pub are for.

  • Yes. We've hosted birthday dinners, anniversaries, Christmas parties, work gatherings and celebrations of most kinds. We can arrange a private table, a set menu or a section of the restaurant to yourselves depending on group size and the occasion.   • Yes. Any amount, redeemable against food, drink and rooms. Email info@thedukeofwellingtoninn.co.uk and we'll usually have it sorted the same day. Some gifts are things. This one is a memory.
