We are in the village of Newton, in the Tyne Valley, Northumberland. Most people come by car. The valley rewards the approach.
Newton sits in the Tyne Valley between Corbridge and Stocksfield. From Newcastle, take the A69 west and follow signs for Stocksfield, then Newton. From the west, leave the A69 at Corbridge. The drive through the valley is part of the visit.
There is parking at the inn. If you are arriving by train, Stocksfield station is on the Newcastle to Carlisle line and is a short taxi ride away.
